Egy Maulana Vikri resmi datang ke Lechia Gdansk sebagai pemain profesional pada hari Minggu (11/3) lalu. Ia mendapat kontrak selama tiga tahun bersama klub Polandia tersebut. Kedatangan pemain 17 tahun dari Medan tersebut akan memberikan keuntungan besar untuk segi ekonomi klub bersangkutan dan juga untuk Indonesia.

Tak lama setelah kedatangan Egy, Gdansk sudah mendapat keuntungan setidaknya terkait pengenalan merek di Indonesia. Ya, tak lama setelah Egy bergabung dengan klub yang sedang berjuang dari degradasi di kompetisi Ekstraklasa tersebut, follower Instagram resmi klub tersebut meningkat drastis hingga 500 persen.

Itulah kenapa Egy pantas disebut sebagai komoditas dagang yang menarik oleh klub yang mengikatnya dengan kontrak.

Kedatangan Egy ini tentu saja diharapkan akan membantu segi finansial klub. Menurut catatan pada musim terakhir, Lechia sedang mengalami penurunan pendapatan jika dibandingkan dengan musim 2015/2016. Penurunan tersebut sebanyak 4,5 persen.
